This Easy Beef and Broccoli recipe combines tender beef with crisp broccoli in a savory sauce for a quick, healthy meal. With a rich flavor and simple ingredients, it’s an ideal weeknight dinner that’s better than takeout.
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank or sirloin beef thinly sliced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger grated
- ¼ cup beef broth
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate Beef: Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Add beef, marinate 15 minutes.
- Blanch Broccoli: Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1 minute, drain.
- Stir-Fry Beef: In a skillet, heat oil, add beef, and cook until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
- Combine Ingredients: Add garlic and ginger, then broccoli and beef. Pour in beef broth, simmer 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
Notes
For a sweeter sauce, add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar.
