Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 tablespoons pan drippings or butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken beef, or turkey broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Gather Drippings: Collect pan drippings, skim fat, and reserve 2-3 tablespoons.
  • Make Roux: Melt fat in a saucepan, add flour, and whisk until golden.
  • Add Broth: Slowly add broth, whisking constantly until smooth.
  • Season: Stir in drippings, add salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Simmer: Cook for 5-10 minutes until thickened, then serve warm.

Notes

If gravy becomes too thick, add additional broth until desired consistency is reached.
