Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz pasta penne, rigatoni, or fusilli
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 375°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Make Meatballs: Mix ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, milk, and seasonings. Shape into meatballs.
  • Brown Meatballs: Brown meatballs in a skillet until golden.
  • Cook Pasta: Cook pasta until slightly undercooked. Drain and set aside.
  • Make Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, add flour, and whisk in beef broth and cream. Cook until thickened.
  • Assemble Bake: Combine pasta, meatballs, and sauce. Transfer to a baking dish and top with cheese.
  • Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
