Ingredients
  

  • 1 14.75-ounce can salmon, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or dill optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, lemon juice, and parsley in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into 6-8 patties.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Fry patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh or leftover cooked salmon for a fresher flavor.
  • Add cayenne pepper for a spicy version.
