- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook noodles until al dente.
In a skillet, brown the meat, onion, garlic, and seasonings. Stir in tomato sauce.
Mix ricotta, egg, Parmesan, and parsley in a bowl.
Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers.
Cover and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake another 20 minutes until bubbly.
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
