Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Hennessy Cognac
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the Hennessy Cognac, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to cook off the alcohol.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  • Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the cayenne pepper or add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over rice to soak up the flavorful sauce.
  • If you prefer a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream at the end and simmer for an additional minute.
