- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1/4 cup white wine optional
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
Sauté the shrimp in 2 tablespoons of butter until cooked, then set aside.
In the same skillet, cook garlic in the remaining butter. Add white wine and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.
Combine the shrimp, pasta, and sauce. Toss to coat, adding pasta water as needed.
Garnish with parsley and Parmesan cheese, and serve.
