Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup white wine optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  • Sauté the shrimp in 2 tablespoons of butter until cooked, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook garlic in the remaining butter. Add white wine and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the shrimp, pasta, and sauce. Toss to coat, adding pasta water as needed.
  • Garnish with parsley and Parmesan cheese, and serve.

Notes

  • Add cream to the sauce for a richer texture.
  • Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
