For the Pepper Steak:
- 1 1/2 lbs beef strips
- 2 bell peppers sliced
- 1 onion sliced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
For the Sauce:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
For Thickening (Optional):
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Place the beef strips, bell peppers, onion, and garlic into the crockpot.
Whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and spices. Pour over the beef and vegetables.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
If desired, thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry before serving.
