Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 carrot thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup snap peas
  • Optional: sesame oil green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Marinate sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch for 10-15 minutes.
  • Make stir-fry sauce by whisking together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch.
  • Cook vegetables in 1 tablespoon oil until crisp-tender, then remove from skillet.
  • Cook beef in remaining oil until browned, then add garlic and ginger.
  • Return vegetables to the skillet and pour in stir-fry sauce. Toss to coat and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly for tenderness.
  • Add sesame oil for extra flavor.
