- 2 cups lard

- 2 bay leaves

Instructions
- Prepare the wild boar shoulder by trimming excess fat and cutting into chunks.
- In a large pot, combine the lard, salt, black pepper, garlic, bay leaves, and thyme.
- Heat the mixture over low heat until the lard is melted.
- Add the wild boar shoulder pieces to the pot, ensuring they are completely submerged in the lard.
- Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring the meat to a container.
- Pour the strained lard over the meat to keep it preserved.

- This confit can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks.
