Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup creamy coconut milk
  • 1 cup vegan chocolate morsels
  • 1 teaspoon pure peppermint oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Sprigs of fresh mint, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground almonds, cocoa powder, melted coconut butter, agave nectar, and sea salt until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Firmly press this mixture into the base and up the sides of a tart pan, ensuring an even layer.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then take it out and allow it to cool completely.
  5. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the creamy coconut milk and vegan chocolate morsels. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is silky smooth.
  6. Remove from heat and incorporate the peppermint oil and maple syrup if you desire a sweeter taste.
  7. Once the crust has cooled, pour the luscious chocolate mixture into it, spreading it evenly across the surface.
  8. Place the tart in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours to allow it to set properly.
  9. After it has firmed up, decorate the top with fresh mint sprigs before slicing into pieces and serving.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, consider blending in a mix of dark and semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
