Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon green tea powder
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing the almond meal, pitted medjool dates, agave syrup, melted coconut oil, sea salt, vanilla extract, and green tea powder into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture transforms into a cohesive, sticky dough.
  2. Prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper. Firmly press the dough into the bottom of the pan, using either a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.
  3. Chill the pressed mixture in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
  4. While the base is cooling, melt the dairy-free chocolate chips along with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is silky smooth.
  5. After the base has set, take it out of the refrigerator and slice it into bars or squares.
  6. Carefully dip each piece into the melted chocolate, making sure it is completely covered, then place them back onto the lined baking pan.
  7. Once all the bars are coated in chocolate, return them to the refrigerator for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
