- 1 cup almond meal
- 1 cup pitted medjool dates
- 1/4 cup agave syrup
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon green tea powder
- 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for coating)
Instructions
- Begin by placing the almond meal, pitted medjool dates, agave syrup, melted coconut oil, sea salt, vanilla extract, and green tea powder into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture transforms into a cohesive, sticky dough.
- Prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper. Firmly press the dough into the bottom of the pan, using either a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.
- Chill the pressed mixture in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
- While the base is cooling, melt the dairy-free chocolate chips along with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is silky smooth.
- After the base has set, take it out of the refrigerator and slice it into bars or squares.
- Carefully dip each piece into the melted chocolate, making sure it is completely covered, then place them back onto the lined baking pan.
- Once all the bars are coated in chocolate, return them to the refrigerator for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.

- For added texture, consider mixing in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or seeds into the base.
