Description

A flavorful and aromatic dish made with tender beef and fresh Thai basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 Thai chili peppers, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced onion and sliced bell pepper, and cook until soft.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water.
  6. Add the chopped Thai chili peppers and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh Thai basil leaves.
  8. Serve hot over rice.

  • Adjust the number of chili peppers based on your spice preference.
  • Can be served with jasmine rice for a complete meal.
