Description
Tahini Date Freezer Cups are a delicious and healthy treat made with tahini, Medjool dates, and rolled oats, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup tahini
- 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, tightly packed
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by placing the tahini, pitted dates, rolled oats, maple syrup (or honey), sea salt, and vanilla extract into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture transforms into a creamy, cohesive blend, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides for an even consistency.
- Prepare a muffin tin by lining it with paper liners or silicone molds to prevent sticking.
- Carefully distribute the tahini mixture into each cup, filling them approximately three-quarters full. If desired, top each cup with a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips for added indulgence.
- Transfer the muffin tin to the freezer and allow it to chill for 1 to 2 hours, or until the cups are solidified.
- After they have frozen, gently pop the cups out of the tin and store them in an airtight container in the freezer for future enjoyment.
Notes
- For a nut-free alternative, replace tahini with sunflower seed butter.
- Enhance the flavor by adding a dash of cinnamon or a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the mixture.
