  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the dough in half. Add matcha powder to one half and mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Roll out the matcha dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread half of the cream cheese over the matcha dough, then sprinkle half of the diced strawberries on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, then slice into 1-inch pieces.
  9. Repeat with the remaining dough, cream cheese, and strawberries.
  10. Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish, cut side up.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice into the remaining cream cheese until smooth.
  13. Once the rolls are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling the cream cheese mixture on top.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy!
