Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the green peas and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are heated through and tender.
- Remove the skillet from heat and add the lemon zest and lemon juice. Stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic.
- Substitute the lemon with lime for a different citrus flavor, or add a splash of balsamic vinegar for a tangy twist.
