Description

A delicious and visually stunning red velvet brownie pie that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pie pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • To make it festive, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with red and white sprinkles before serving.
