Description

Raspberry Rose Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the sweetness of raspberries with the floral notes of rose water, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries, crushed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and rose water, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed raspberries.
  7. Using a tablespoon, scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a few drops of almond extract along with the rose water.
  • You can also substitute the raspberries with chopped dried rose petals for a more floral taste.
