Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the raspberries, being cautious not to crush them too much.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
