Ingredients

  • 2 pounds short ribs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and beef broth to create the glaze.
  3. Place short ribs in a baking dish and pour the glaze over them.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  5. Remove foil and broil for 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
