Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the heavy cream, sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and the sugar is dissolved.
  2. In a small saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Gradually whisk the dissolved gelatin into the cream mixture until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or a large serving dish.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  7. Once set, serve chilled, garnished with fresh berries if desired.
