- 2 pounds fresh mussels, cleaned
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add the mussels, cover the pot, and steam until mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
- Discard any mussels that do not open.
- Stir in the parsley and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the mussels with the broth.
