A refreshing mint chip spirulina smoothie that combines the goodness of spirulina with the delightful flavors of mint and chocolate.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon spirulina powder
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the almond milk, banana, spirulina powder, peppermint extract, and fresh mint leaves.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
- Add the chocolate chips and ice cubes to the blender. Blend again until the ice is crushed and the mixture is well combined.
- Taste the smoothie and add honey or maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter. Blend briefly to mix.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with additional mint leaves or chocolate chips if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker smoothie, use frozen banana slices instead of fresh.
- Substitute coconut milk for almond milk for a creamier texture and tropical flavor.
