Description

A refreshing mint chip spirulina smoothie that combines the goodness of spirulina with the delightful flavors of mint and chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon spirulina powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the almond milk, banana, spirulina powder, peppermint extract, and fresh mint leaves.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and ice cubes to the blender. Blend again until the ice is crushed and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Taste the smoothie and add honey or maple syrup if you prefer it sweeter. Blend briefly to mix.
  5. Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with additional mint leaves or chocolate chips if desired.

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, use frozen banana slices instead of fresh.
  • Substitute coconut milk for almond milk for a creamier texture and tropical flavor.
