Matcha and White Chocolate Banana Bread is a deliciously unique twist on traditional banana bread, combining the earthy flavor of matcha with sweet white chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and matcha powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a richer flavor, try adding 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract along with the vanilla.
  • You can substitute the white chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips for a different taste.
