Description
A delightful and creamy spread made from pure maple syrup, perfect for breakfast or desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Pour the maple syrup into a medium saucepan and sprinkle in the sea salt.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring gently until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer undisturbed for approximately 5 minutes.
- Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature, aiming for 235°F, which indicates the soft ball stage.
- After reaching the desired temperature, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes until it drops to around 110°F.
- In a separate mixing bowl, blend the softened butter with the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the cooled maple syrup into the butter mixture, using an electric mixer set to medium speed.
- Whip the mixture for 5 to 7 minutes, or until it transforms into a light, fluffy cream with a pale color.
- Spoon the maple delight spread into a clean jar or container.
- Allow it to cool completely at room temperature before sealing the jar for storage.
Notes
- Enjoy this spread on your favorite breakfast items or as a sweet addition to desserts.
