- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until thickened.
- Add the cheeses, mustard, paprika, and pepper, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the macaroni and lobster meat.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs and parsley.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using a combination of seafood stock or adding a splash of white wine to the cheese sauce.
- This dish is best served immediately but can be reheated if needed.
