Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired, then cut into squares and serve.
