- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2–3 cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger, grated (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
- Add the black tea leaves, crushed cardamom pods, and grated ginger (if using) to the boiling water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar and continue to simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the whole milk and bring the mixture back to a gentle boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer to remove the tea leaves and spices.
- Serve hot and enjoy your Karak tea!
Notes
- For a stronger flavor, let the tea steep for a longer time before adding milk.
- You can add a pinch of cinnamon or a few drops of vanilla extract for a different flavor profile.
