Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing and dusting it with flour.
- In a spacious bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt, mixing them thoroughly.
- Incorporate the softened butter, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and rose water into the dry mixture.
- Use an electric mixer on medium speed to blend until the batter is silky and uniform, about 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, combine the powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk, stirring until you achieve a smooth, spreadable texture.
- Once the cake has cooled down, generously spread the frosting over the top and adorn it with edible rose petals if desired.
- Cut into slices and enjoy this refreshing dessert, either at room temperature or chilled.
