Description

Delicious homemade gummy peach rings made without corn syrup, perfect for a fun treat!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups peach juice (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon peach extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1/4 teaspoon citric acid (optional, for a tangy kick)

Instructions

  1. Pour the peach juice into a medium saucepan, then add the granulated sugar and fresh lemon juice.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Once warm, slowly sprinkle in the gelatin powder while whisking continuously to ensure it dissolves fully.
  4. Keep the mixture on low heat for about 2-3 minutes, making sure it doesn’t reach a boil.
  5. If desired, mix in the peach extract at this stage.
  6. Take the saucepan off the heat and allow the mixture to cool for approximately 5 minutes.
  7. Carefully pour the liquid into silicone gummy molds, filling each cavity to the brim.
  8. If you don’t have molds, pour the mixture into a lined baking dish for later cutting.
  9. Place the filled molds in the refrigerator and let them chill for a minimum of 2 hours or until set and firm.
  10. Once solidified, gently pop the gummies out of the molds or cut them into preferred shapes if using a baking dish.
  11. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar with citric acid (if using) and roll the gummies in this mixture for a sweet and tangy coating.

Notes

  • Ensure the mixture does not boil to maintain the gummy texture.
  • Silicone molds work best for easy removal of gummies.
  • Adjust the amount of citric acid based on your taste preference.
