Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
  2. Rub the mixture all over the salmon belly.
  3. Wrap the salmon in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
  4. Rinse the salmon under cool water and pat dry.
  5. Smoke the salmon in a smoker at 180°F for 1-3 hours, until it reaches your desired level of smokiness.
  6. Cool the salmon before slicing and serving.
