- 1 pound chicken gizzards
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Soak the chicken gizzards in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Remove gizzards from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture.
- Fry gizzards in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
