Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Crab Rangoon Melt that combines creamy crab filling with crispy sourdough bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup lump crab meat, drained
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/4 cup sweet and sour sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the crab mixture evenly over two slices of sourdough bread. Top each with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.
- Spread the softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Transfer the sandwiches to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes to ensure the cheese is fully melted and the bread is crispy.
- Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve warm with sweet and sour sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or hot sauce to the crab mixture.
- You can substitute the crab meat with cooked shrimp or imitation crab for a different seafood flavor.
