Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Crab Rangoon Melt that combines creamy crab filling with crispy sourdough bread.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup sweet and sour sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spread the crab mixture evenly over two slices of sourdough bread. Top each with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.
  5. Spread the softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Transfer the sandwiches to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes to ensure the cheese is fully melted and the bread is crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve warm with sweet and sour sauce on the side.

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or hot sauce to the crab mixture.
