Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (5 ounces) tuna, drained
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cottage cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get around 6-8 patties depending on the size.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once hot, add the patties to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and heated through.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños to the mixture.
- Serve with a side of tartar sauce or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
