Description

A delightful berry tart filled with a medley of bramble berries.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 23 tbsp cold water
  • 2 cups mixed bramble berries (blackberries, raspberries, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Roll out the dough to fit tart pan. Place the dough in the pan and press into the sides.
  5. In another bowl, mix bramble berries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the berry mixture into the prepared crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden and berries are bubbly.
  8. Let cool before serving.
