Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease ramekins.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until light and creamy.
  4. Fold chocolate mixture into egg yolk mixture.
  5. In another bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold egg whites into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour into prepared ramekins and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately dusted with powdered sugar.
