Description

A delicious and comforting dessert combining a crisp apple filling with a flaky tart crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon to make the crust.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine sliced apples with lemon juice, oats, cornstarch, and water.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pre-baked tart crust.
  6. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until apples are tender.
  7. Let cool before serving.
