A simple and delicious recipe for 4 Ingredient Date Snickers that satisfies your sweet cravings with minimal effort.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted Medjool dates until they form a sticky paste. If the dates are too dry, you can add a teaspoon of water to help them blend.
  2. Line a small baking dish (about 8×4 inches) with parchment paper. Press the date mixture evenly into the bottom of the dish to form a base layer.
  3. Spread the peanut butter evenly over the date layer. Make sure to cover it completely.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped roasted peanuts on top of the melted chocolate, pressing them down gently to adhere.
  6. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to set.
  7. Once set, lift the parchment paper to remove the bars from the dish. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

Notes

  • For a salted caramel flavor, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.
  • Substitute almond butter for peanut butter for a nut-free option using sunflower seed butter.
