A festive and delightful White Chocolate Peppermint Mousse Tart perfect for holiday celebrations.

- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg whites
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Crushed peppermint candies for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the melted white chocolate and peppermint extract until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add a tablespoon of sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the white chocolate mixture until no white streaks remain.
- Pour the mousse into the cooled tart shell and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, garnish with crushed peppermint candies for a festive touch.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the crust mixture.
- If you prefer a chocolate tart, substitute half of the white chocolate with semi-sweet chocolate.
