  • 2 large heads of green cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 ears of corn, cut into thirds
  • 1 large onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with 8 quarts of water and bring it to a vigorous boil.
  2. Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Carefully place the cabbage wedges into the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Add the sliced smoked sausage and corn pieces into the pot and boil together for another 10 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and quartered onion to the pot and continue boiling for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Carefully drain the pot using a large colander.
  7. Transfer the mixture onto a serving platter, drizzle with melted butter, and adorn with fresh lemon wedges.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
