Description
A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu, infused with the rich flavors of Vietnamese coffee.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strong brewed Vietnamese coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, for dusting
- 1 package ladyfinger cookies (about 24 cookies)
- Chocolate shavings or coffee beans, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the cooled Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until well combined and smooth.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of serving cups or a large dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings or coffee beans if desired.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, add an extra tablespoon of coffee to the mixture or use espresso instead.
- To make it a bit more indulgent, drizzle some chocolate sauce over the layers before serving.
