A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu, infused with the rich flavors of Vietnamese coffee.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed Vietnamese coffee, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, for dusting
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies (about 24 cookies)
  • Chocolate shavings or coffee beans, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cooled Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until well combined and smooth.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of serving cups or a large dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings or coffee beans if desired.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, add an extra tablespoon of coffee to the mixture or use espresso instead.
  • To make it a bit more indulgent, drizzle some chocolate sauce over the layers before serving.
