- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 1 cup vanilla bean custard
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the diced butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in ice water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough and place it in a slab pie pan.
- Pour the vanilla bean custard into the crust.
- Drizzle the chocolate ganache over the custard and use a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality vanilla beans.
- Make sure the butter is very cold for a flaky crust.
- This pie can be served warm or chilled.
