Description

Truffle & Garlic Parmesan Gnocchi Bake is an irresistible dish that combines the rich flavors of truffle oil and garlic with creamy Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1 tablespoon truffle oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, 1 cup of Parmesan cheese, truffle oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is heated through and slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and gently stir to coat them in the sauce.
  6. Transfer the gnocchi mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. Mix well and then sprinkle evenly over the gnocchi. Top with additional Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
