- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 12 ounces mostaccioli pasta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, cook the mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked mostaccioli to the pot and gently stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture or marinara sauce.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option, and use low-fat cheese to reduce calories.
