A delicious recipe for the best ever chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips.
Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- Feel free to mix in nuts or other types of chocolate for variety.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
