- 8 ounces wide rice noodles
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the wide rice noodles as per the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and let it sizzle for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Introduce the thinly sliced beef to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring until browned.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli, red bell pepper, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet along with the cooked rice noodles.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in the chopped green onions.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
- Adjust the level of crushed red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with tofu or additional vegetables.
