Description

A flavorful dish featuring wide rice noodles stir-fried with tender beef and vibrant vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces wide rice noodles
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wide rice noodles as per the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside to cool.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and let it sizzle for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the thinly sliced beef to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring until browned.
  5. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the broccoli, red bell pepper, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet along with the cooked rice noodles.
  8. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Toss everything together and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped green onions.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of crushed red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with tofu or additional vegetables.
