- 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup tamarind paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix tamarind paste, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the prawns to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated prawns onto skewers.
- Grill the prawns for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the prawns for up to 2 hours.
- Serve with lime wedges for added zest.
- These prawns can also be cooked in a grill pan if you don’t have an outdoor grill.
