  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water (more if needed)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the dry ingredients.
  2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the olive oil. Gradually pour in the warm water while mixing with a fork or your hands until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it into a disc about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each disc for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the skillet and keep warm in a clean kitchen towel while you cook the remaining discs.
