Ingredients

- 1 French baguette, sliced
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine the diced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Spread a layer of ricotta cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
- Top the ricotta with the strawberry mixture.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For added flavor, drizzle some extra balsamic reduction on top before serving.
- This dish is best served fresh but can be prepared in advance by keeping the components separate until ready to serve.
