Ingredients

  • 12 ounces ribeye steak
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt.
  2. Season the ribeye steak with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  3. Place the seasoned steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. While the steak is resting, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your liking (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.), about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Slice the rested steak against the grain into strips.
  6. Serve the steak strips on a plate topped with the cooked eggs. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steak in your favorite steak seasoning or a simple mixture of olive oil, vinegar, and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
  • Swap the ribeye for another cut of steak like sirloin or flank steak, depending on your preference and budget.
